Magnier faces a problem in the final stages, and the overall leader changes.

Milan Fretin won the third stage of the Tour of Guangxi , 212.3 km from Jingxi to Bama . The Belgian rider from Cofidis surprised everyone in the sprint, also taking advantage of a pedal problem for Paul Magnier.
The group recovered from the attack attempt by Austrian Tomas Bayer (Alpecin-Premier Tech) and Chinese rider Wang Ruidong with 20 km to go.
Thus we arrive at the final sprint: Paul Magnier launches the right progression and seems to be able to win, but the Frenchman has a pedal problem a few meters from the finish line and is forced to slow down.
Milan Fretin (Cofidis) takes the win, starting the sprint on the right side of the road and remaining in the lead until the finish line.
Frits Biesterbos (Team Picnic PostNL) took second place, becoming the new leader of the overall standings; Jordi Meeus (Red Bull - Bora Hansgrohe) finished third.
Another good performance by Fabio Jakobsen (Team Visma Lease a Bike) who placed fourth ahead of Dutchman Arvid De Kleijn (Tudor Pro Cycling Team).

After a lengthy report by NOS Sport and In De Waaier, the Dutch WorldTour team admits it's time to "look at themselves with a critical eye."

According to the French press, after two years of spectacle on the Butte, the final stage will return to its traditional format: the official route will be revealed in Paris next Thursday.

Magnier faces a problem in the final stages, and the overall leader changes.

The historic French ProTeam has not yet clarified whether it will exist in 2027: in the meantime, more than a third of the squad has already said goodbye or is about to do so.
