Australian reaches solo finish, Tiberi retires

Michael Storer won the second stage of the Tour of the Alps, from Mezzolombardo to Sterzing/Vipiteno, 178 km.

The Australian rider from Tudor attacked during the second and final passage of the Telves di Sopra climb. Having reached the top, less than ten kilometers from the finish, with a margin of a few seconds, he managed to increase his advantage until the finish.

The small group with Giulio Ciccone, regulated by Paul Seixas in front of Romain Bardet, arrived about 40 seconds late.

It is worth noting that Antonio Tiberi has withdrawn due to influenza.
