Exceptional work by Alpecin in the last 800 meters
Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin Deceuninck) wins the nineteenth stage of the Vuelta a España, from Rueda to Guijuelo (161.9 km).
Otruba 's solo breakaway didn't worry the group in the least, as they reabsorbed the Caja Rural rider 50 km from the finish.
The wind, a potential threat to the stage, isn't particularly noticeable, and, having avoided the winds, the entire group heads towards a compact sprint.
Ineos led the final kilometers with Bernal, Kwiatkowski, and Ganna, but was too quick to get ahead of the curve. The two Alpecin riders arrived at the right time and perfectly guided Phlipsen , who, near the barriers, held on to the finish line and secured his third victory. Pedersen , who sprinted without the help of his teammates, finished second, with Aular third.
