Vingegaard confirms overall success

Brady Gilmore wins the seventh and final stage of the Volta a Catalunya, with the usual finishing circuit in Barcelona (95.1 km).

After an initial five-man breakaway, the stage became lively with Evenepoel 's attack with five laps to go. However, the group managed to regroup, and in the following laps, all attempts were stopped.

With 2 laps to go, Ciccone 's attack, which sealed the climbers' jersey, was followed by a small group including Onley, Evenepoel and Vingegaard, but even in this case the situation calmed down.

Not much happens on the final pass over Montjuïc , with about thirty riders competing for the sprint. Godon attempts to win the third stage, but Gilmore outwits him in the finale. Evenepoel takes third place.
