Brandon McNulty won the fourth stage of the Volta Valenciana.
The finish line of the fraction was brought forward by about fifteen kilometres, on the Alto de Miserat, due to an accident which saw the death of an amateur cyclist. So the runners covered 160 km.
The American from UAE Emirates separated all his opponents and preceded Santiago Buitrago of Bahrain Victorious and Aleksandr Vlasov of Bora hansgrohe by a few seconds. McNulty is the new overall leader in place of Alessandro Tonelli, who finished about 1'40" behind McNulty.
Tomorrow the race ends in Valencia.
