Valentin Paret-Peintre (Soudal Quick-Step) wins stage 5 of the Tour of Oman (2.Pro) from Imty to Jabal Al Akhdhar (138.5km).

The final stage and, above all, the general classification of the short stage race will be decided on Green Mountain .

UAE Team Emirates works for Adam Yates , 18" behind Gaudu . The Frenchman appears to be in difficulty on the accelerations of the British and an unleashed V.Paret-Peintre . In the last kilometer the two go off alone, with the Soudal Quick-Step rider winning the sprint and conquering the fifth stage.

Adam Yates consoles himself with second place and the victory in the general classification: Gaudu, in fact, in the last km, loses 45" and finishes 3rd both in the stage and in the general classification.
