Richard Carapaz won the twentieth stage of the Vuelta, from Moralzarzal to the 181km Puerto de Navacerrada, with five mountain grand prixes with insignificant slopes.

For the Ineos Grenadiers rider, winner of the classification reserved for climbers and who was part of the breakaway of the day, it is the third stage success in the Iberian race. Behind him are Thymen Arensman (Team Dsm), at 8 seconds, and Juan Ayuso at 13 seconds.

A stage without emotions, with Remco Evenepoel (Quick Step) who limited himself to controlling the opponents in the standings and an over-waiting Enric Mas (Movistar) who will be satisfied with the second final place. The third step of the podium will be for a very good Juan Ayuso (UAE Emirates) who will turn twenty on September 16th.

Tomorrow last effort for the riders who remained in the race with the arrival in Madrid, on the day in which Evenepoel will celebrate the conquest of the roja jersey.
