Primoz Roglic won the fourth stage of the Vuelta, from Vitoria-Gasteiz to Laguardia of 152.5 km.

On the final ramp of about one kilometer, the Jumbo-Visma rider preceded Mads Pedersen (Trek Segafredo) and Enric Mas (Movistar).

The Slovenian also wears the jersey of leader of the general classification.

Alessandro De Marchi (Israel Premier Tech) was also among the protagonists of the day's escape, shot together with Alexey Lutsenko (Astana) and James Shaw (Ef Education-Easy Post) 30 km from the end.
