The Dutch athlete won her home race, the Amstel Gold Race, beating her compatriots Ellen Van Dijk and Puck Pieterse. Silvia Persico finished fifth, just behind Juliette Labous.

The five were part of a breakaway with many athletes starting far from the finish line, including Lorena Wiebes, who then finished sixth.

Nothing to do for Elisa Longo Borghini, Demi Vollering, Lotte Kopecky and Marianne Vos, all outside the top positions of the day.
