Crashed in the fifth stage of the Tour of Switzerland

Gino Mader is dead. The Swiss rider from Bahrain Victorious died in the Chur hospital where he had been hospitalized after yesterday's serious accident, when he crashed into a ravine during the descent of the Albulapass in the fifth stage of the Tour of Switzerland.

Mader was 26 years old. Winner of three races in his career, including a stage in the Giro d'Italia, he was considered a cycling talent.

Fantacycling expresses its deepest condolences to the family and Bahrain Victorious.

The sixth stage scheduled for today has been cancelled. The runners will complete the last 30km to pay tribute to Mader.
