He leaves everyone behind and arrives alone: Pedersen and Ganna on the podium

Mathieu Van der Poel won the 67th edition of the E3 Saxo Classic with start and finish in Harelbeke after 208 km.

Another show of strength from the Dutch champion, already winner of the Sanremo last Saturday: he follows an attack by Mads Pedersen together with Filippo Ganna and then leaves both of them behind about 40 km from the finish line for a solo ride that takes him to win his second consecutive E3.

Pedersen arrives second at over a minute, third an excellent Ganna. Behind them are Casper Pedersen, protagonist of the breakaway of the day, and Jasper Stuyven.
Bad Wout Van Aert, who finished 15th in the group at almost 3 minutes.

Order of arrival:

1 Mathieu Van der Poel
2 Mads Pedersen
3 Philip Ganna
4 Casper Pedersen
5 Jasper Stuyven
6 Stefan Kung
7 Aime De Gendt
8 Tim Wellens
9 Matthew Jorgenson
10 Mike Teunissen
