The Olympic champion fell during training and was taken to hospital , where his condition is being evaluated.
Remco Evenepoel was training when he was involved in an accident. It happened in Oetingen , in the province of Flemish Brabant.
According to Sporza, it appears that Evenepoel collided with a Bpost vehicle. It is not yet clear how the accident occurred.
Emergency services arrived on site and took the runner to the hospital for medical checks. The Olympic champion remained conscious the entire time and always sat upright. It seems that the worst-case scenarios can be avoided.
