"I'm not abandoning the track completely, but I won't be taking part in the World Championships or World Cup anymore"

Filippo Ganna has declared his future goals, stating that he will abandon, at least for the next few seasons, track events, to concentrate fully on road races. The double commitment, in fact, had become unsustainable in terms of training.

The 28-year-old from Piedmont confirmed that he will use the track to improve his preparation, but that he will no longer participate in competitions such as the World Championships and the World Cup.

The Ineos rider did not state precisely which races he will focus on most, although, given his results and performances in recent years, his two big goals could be Milan-San Remo and Paris-Roubaix , as well as all the time trials, in which he has been among the best in the world for years.
