The U23 world champion wins stage 6 and takes the pink jersey
Lorenzo Mark Finn won the sixth stage of the Giro Next Gen with a clear victory: the Red Bull Rookies rider took a commanding victory in the queen stage, finishing on Monte Livata.
After a great team effort, Finn caught the day's breakaway with 10 km to go and then broke away from everyone else 1 km ahead, sprinting solo to the finish line. The 2006-born rider, in addition to his prestigious stage win, also took the pink jersey as leader of the overall standings.
Behind him, almost 1' behind, are the Ecuadorian Ramirez of the UAE and the Brazilian Bravo of Soudal.
Finn will now have to defend his lead in the final two challenging stages: tomorrow, in fact, there will be another uphill finish, while on Sunday a 22km individual time trial will close the Giro d'Italia reserved for Under 23s.
