NB On Saturday afternoon, once the Tour of the Basque Country has been calculated, all the roses within the League will be reset, so they will have to be reinserted on Saturday evening or Sunday morning before the start of the race (the same will apply to the League of the Poor).

The route - 260 kilometers starting from Compiègne and arriving at the velodrome in the town in Northern France. There will still be 29 pavé sectors to be covered this year. A total of 55.7 kilometers of stones. Among the decisive and iconic points, the crossing of the Arenberg Forest about a hundred km from the finish line complete with chicanes to slow down the entry of the runners into the sector which sparked quite a bit of controversy.

Then Mons-en-Pévèle , the second five-star difficulty sector 3000 meters long and the sections number 5 and number 4, Camphin-en-Pévèle and Carrefour de l'Arbre . The first is 1800 meters long and is classified with four stars while the second, tackled after only one kilometer from the previous one, is the third and last sector with five stars of difficulty, 2100 meters long.

The favorites - Mathieu Van der Poel and Jasper Philipsen. They are the announced protagonists of the race. First and second in 2023, they will have to watch out for Mads Pedersen, Nils Politt, John Degenkolb, Dylan Van Baarle, Christophe Laporte (returning), Stefan Kung, Ivan Garcia Cortina and Tim Merlier. Also watch out for Thomas Pidcock, a last minute starter. Among the Italians there are hopes for Jonathan Milan, Alberto Bettiol and Luca Mozzato.

Watch out for the weather and a possible top 10 full of twists and turns.
