Another second place for Filippo Fiorelli who becomes leader of the rankings
Ivo Oliveira (UAE Team Emirates) wins the second stage of the Giro di Abruzzo, from Tocco da Casauria to Penne (138 km).
Petilli and Zoccarato attempted to escape, with the latter remaining alone in the lead on the Forca di Penne, but then caught by the group 15 km from the finish.
On the final climb, the first to attack was Oliveira , 1.5 km from the finish. The Portuguese resisted the group's re-entry and won ahead of Fiorelli and Brenner .
In the general classification, Fiorelli, thanks to the time bonus, overtakes Covi, today 4th.
