Nico Denz wins the twelfth stage of the Giro d'Italia from Bra to Rivoli of 185km. The German precedes the Latvian Tom Skujins and the Australian Sebastian Berwick in the sprint. A stage characterized by the attack of more than twenty riders, with the group of attackers being selected as the kilometers go by.

In front of four , Nico Denz (Bora Hansgroge), Alessandro Tonelli (Green Project Bardiani CSF Faizanè), Sebastian Berwick (Israel Premier Tech) and Toms Skujins (Trek Segafredo) who accumulate an advantage of about three minutes over their immediate pursuers (including there is the Italian Alberto Bettiol).  

On the ascent of the hill Braida Skujins accelerates, followed by Dezn and Berwick, while Tonelli gives way.   There was no story in the sprint and the German overtook everyone with an impressive extension, with Skujins and Berwick having to settle for second and third position.   Fourth place for Tonelli, who precedes another Italian rider, Marco Frigo (Israel Premier Tech).  

The pink jersey group remains about nine minutes behind.
