Solo escape of 50 km, Roglic detaches Evenepoel

Ben Healy won the eighth stage of the Giro d'Italia, from Terni to Fossombrone of 207km. The Irish rider of Ef Education EasyPost, protagonist of the breakaway of the day together with other riders, reached the finish line alone after a solitary attack of 50km. Well Filippo Zana, third.

Finally something happens between the big names: Primoz Roglic attacks on the Cappuccini tear, Evenepoel in difficulty. Geoghegan Hart and Thomas arrive with the Slovenian, the world champion loses 14 seconds from Roglic and the Ineos duo.

Andreas Leknessund is still in the pink jersey.
