In the last edition a Hungarian rider wore the pink jersey for the first time, and in 2022 the Giro d'Italia will start right from there, with Budapest providing a splendid setting for the start of our beloved stage race. In reality, the pink of Attila Valter in the 2021 edition is just a coincidence, the Great start of next year was already scheduled for 2020, but then it was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first three stages will be held from Friday 6 May. The first step will be from the Heroes' Square of Budapest to Visegrad with a final stretch of 5 km at 5% up to the royal castle, the second time trial for 9.2 km in the streets of the capital, the third from Kaposvár to Balatonfüred on Lake Balaton , with a final for sprinters after a few ups and downs. RCS presents the track by unpacking it: Monday will be the turn of the stages suitable for sprinters, Tuesday the hilly ones, Wednesday the mountain stages, Thursday the final. The comments on the specialized site Tuttobici are very critical and negative, even for the direct via facebook from Hungary without comment in Italian.
