Andrea Ziliani in the Social Fantacycling jersey

Legbreaker T ap, the first of two. The high mountains have arrived and we need to be brave. But let's not exaggerate, with a few hundred more watts supplied by the engine it's a pleasure to go up, just keep it at maximum. They are 51 kilometers for 1,650 meters in altitude. All concentrated in the last 45 of the stage of the Giro d'Italia, which is really very tough. As a reward, a nice ice cream in Val di Zoldo, famous throughout the world for this very reason. The start on pedals, then a transfer by bus, then again and finally by bike, to Tai di Cadore. From here the climbs begin: first Forcella Cibiana, then the Val di Zoldo with two Mountain Grands Prix in the last 15 kilometers of the stage. The first, Coi, climbs the hill about five kilometers from the finish after a climb of almost six kilometers with an average gradient of 9.7%, with peaks approaching 20%. After a short descent you enter the last three kilometres, at an average 6 per cent, peaks of ten, with a sequence of eight hairpin bends which lead into the finish straight. A true ending, indeed, very true. So unforgettable.

Character of the day: Giuseppe Bica Captain of the RCS Sport Team and ambassador of Lombardo Bikes, Giuseppe Bica has become one of the pillars of the Giro-E 2023, thanks to a lot of sympathy and a verve that never fails.

Today in the Social Fantacycling jersey we have Andrea Ziliani from the Yamaha Team.
