Romain Gregoire wins the second stage of the Tour de Suisse, starting and finishing in Locarno (157.7 km).
On the initial climb of Monte Ceneri, a 14-man breakaway formed, building up a maximum lead of 3'.
UAE and EF, however, keep the leaders under control and immediately accelerate on the first of the two final climbs.
On Fanghi, it was even Pogacar who forced the pace for his teammates, with the group crossing the summit with a delay of 1'.
On the final climb in front Lemmen tries to break away, but with him remain 5 other men, while among the big names Pogacar also breaks away from Narvaez and remains alone with Vacek .
The top six narrowly resisted the comeback of Pogacar and Vacek, with Gregoire taking a clear victory over his rivals. Second place went to Camprubì , third to Lemmen .
