Kanter and Welsford on the podium today

Paul Magnier wins the first stage of the Guangxi Tour, 149km from Chongzou.
The stage, completely flat, saw a breakaway of three riders, with Powless, Gamper, and Dvernses attempting the feat. However, the leaders were caught by the main group within the final 10 km.
In the final sprint, Paul Magnier once again took center stage after winning every sprint last year. The Frenchman beat Kanter and Welsford , while the other favorite, Kooij, finished outside the top ten due to problems on the home straight. Matteo Milan finished sixth.
