Nelson Powless (EF Education) wins the Dwars door Vlaanderen, a 184 km Belgian stone race.

The race comes alive from the early stages with an 8-man breakaway. Bjerg and R.Pedersen break away from these first attackers, but the group does not give them much margin.

With 70 km to go, Team Visma , with a forceful move on the flat, put Jorgenson, Van Aert and Benoot at the head of the race, who had previously been joined by Powless and Van Den Bossche.

On the Knokteberg only Powless manages to keep up with the 3 Vismas, while the group behind struggles to organize the chase.

The quartet continues to increase their lead, but the Visma riders do not try to detach Powless and it comes to the final sprint : Van Aert is launched by Benoot but sensationally loses the sprint against Powless .
