Team Visma Lease a Bike wins the opening team time trial of the Tour de France.
The Dutch team completed the 19.6km of the Barcelona course in 21'47" at an average speed of 54 km/h.

The first team to set an interesting time was Alpecin with Van der Poel .
Netcompany started off very strong, but a few kilometers from the finish Vauquelin punctured: Ganna continued with Foss and the Italian specialty champion flew into the lead with a super time.

Lidl is going very strong, but loses an important piece like Skjelmose due to another puncture and finishes 8" behind Netcompany with Ayuso .
Red Bull got off to a bad start, but finished on a high with Evenepoel even dropping Lipowitz on the final climb, but finishing 9" behind.

However, Visma is going very strong, with Piganzoli launching Vingegaard on the final climb and managing to lower Ganna's time.
The last team is UAE, with the Del Toro-Pogacar duo attempting to recover after a less than stellar first half. The world champion makes a run in the final 700 meters, but it's not enough: the first yellow jersey goes to Vingegaard , with Pogacar losing 11 seconds.
