First of the Italians Chantal Pegolo

Megan Arens won the Junior Time Trial at the World Championships in Kigali , Rwanda. The Dutch athlete, with a time of 25:47 on the 18.3km course, beat Spain's Paula Ostiz by 35 seconds and Norway's Oda Aune Gissinger by 37 seconds.

The first of the Italians was Chantal Pegolo, fourteenth, 1'44" behind the winner, while Elena De Laurentiis placed twenty-first, 2'28" behind the new world champion.
