Neilson Powless (EF Education) wins the Gran Piemonte , a 182km proseries race, starting from Valdengo and finishing in Borgomanero.

The race becomes very tough starting from the Colma Pass, just after the halfway point, where the main sprinters break away and a small group of ten riders breaks away.

On the next climb, Neilson Powless escapes from this small group and manages to go off on his own.

In the last ten kilometers, the small group behind the American is unable to organize the chase, due to several solo attempts that do not allow an agreement.

Powless arrives with a 15" lead in the final kilometer and triumphs alone . Strong wins the sprint of the beaten, while Aranburu completes the podium.
