Giulio Pellizzari wins the second stage of the Tour of the Alps, from Telfs to Val Martello (147.5 km).

Today there are 7 men in the breakaway : Stockwell, Gaffuri, Verrando, Bais, Röber, Zangerle, Eckerstorfer, Paumann and Poschacher, who approach the final climb with less than a minute on the group.

Tudor approaches the final climb very strongly, while Gaffuri drops his breakaway companions and remains alone in the lead.
Among the big names, Storer , Finn and Arensman remain together, while Pellizzari increases his pace, catches up with the trio and drops them.

Giulio catches Gaffuri with 2 km to go, but Bernal brings Arensman and Finn back into contention, while Storer sinks. Vlasov comes back in the final stages, which tend to drop, and launches the sprint to Pellizzari , who beats Arensman and a brilliant Gaffuri .
