Evenepoel second, McNulty still leader

Aleksandr Vlasov won the seventh stage of the Paris-Nice, from Nice to La Madone d'Utelle of 104 km.

In the penultimate stage of the race, significantly modified in its route and length due to the weather forecast, little or nothing happens along the final 15 km climb (with not impossible gradients). Vlasov, over 2'30" from the top of the general classification, starts -4 from the finish line, managing to maintain a decent lead until the finish line.

Behind him Remco Evenepoel tries to attack a couple of times but without success. In the end the Belgian had to settle for second place in the stage ahead of Primoz Roglic . Brandon McNulty breaks away at the end but manages to maintain the championship leader's jersey. He now has just a four-second lead over Matteo Jorgenson heading into the final stage.
