Pellizzari's great victory at the Giro di Toscana

Giulio Pellizzari won the Giro di Toscana, a 1.1 race, starting and finishing in Pontedera, covering 189 km.

After an escape attempt stopped on the first pass on Monte Serra, the group approaches the second and decisive pass on the GPM as a compact group, with the UAE trying to set the pace.

After a 2km climb, Lenny Martinez took the lead, followed initially by Honorè and Fancellu , and then by other riders. On the descent, a ten-man group formed, leading the race with a twenty-second lead over the main group.

The attackers managed to resist the return of the group and, when everything seemed set for a narrow sprint, Pellizzari attacked at 800 meters with a great finisher's attack and managed to triumph.

Second place went to Jegat ahead of Scaroni, while Ulissi led the group by a handful of seconds.
