Another one-off sprint: 6th win for Visma

Matthew Brennan (Team Visma Lease a Bike) wins the sixteenth stage of the Vuelta España from Cortegana to La Rábida. Palos de la Frontera of 181.1 km.
Sutterlin, Thalmann, Dalby, Madouas and Vermaerke attempted an attack in the early stages, but the group controlled the race without any particular problems.
The stage passed without any great excitement, with the leaders being absorbed again 22 km from the finish.
Red Bull attempts a team move and breaks up the group, which however regroups a few kilometers later.
The compact platoon thus sets off at great speed towards a predictable sprint.
As usual in this Vuelta, no team manages to take command of operations with force, but in the final kilometre it is Soudal who tries to organize a train for Dainese.
In the final 400 metres, however, it was once again Van Aert who perfectly launched Brennan , who won for the fourth time with ease.
2nd Coquard , 3rd Braet ahead of Meeus.
