Bike Market, Venturini at Lotto

Clément Venturini joins Lotto Intermarché with a contract until 2028. The French sprinter thus concludes his experience with Unibet Rose Rockets after just one year and adds experience to the Belgian team, which also signed Stan Dewulf.

"We were already in talks last year," Venturini said. "But then the merger between Intermarché-Wanty and Lotto happened, and the team was complete. I really thought the whole thing was over, and yet here we are. We've always stayed in touch. The fact that now, a year later, I can still sign for Lotto-Intermarché makes everything even more special."

The French rider already has his goals for the 2027 season in mind: " The Brabantse Pijl, the Amstel Gold Race ... those are my terrain. But I don't want to be present only in those moments. There are so many races during the season where I can seize my chance. I hadn't won in a few years, but this season I managed to taste victory again, at the Roue Tourangelle. This gives me confidence and, above all, a lot of motivation to start from there next year. I still have the ambition to achieve results and earn important UCI points for the team. My ambition to achieve good results is certainly still there, but at the same time I can't wait to share my experience. I'm 32 now and have quite a few seasons behind me. I'd love to take on that role as an advisor."

Choosing Lotto also means another personal enrichment for Venturini: “I realized that I really appreciate this international environment, and I've definitely improved my English a lot. This also means that I'm now joining Lotto-Intermarché with an open mind . Plus, with Intermarché, there's still a French side to this team. I think I'll feel very comfortable here. I also simply have great memories of this team. I vividly remember when Tony Gallopin won the yellow jersey at the Tour in 2014... He was also wearing the Lotto jersey then.”
