Vuelta España, Van Aert again in Cordoba

Wout Van Aert wins the fifteenth Vuelta España stage from Palma del Río to Córdoba , of 110.2 km.

The Belgian leads Romele and Nys after a controlled sprint. The stage is shortened and, predictably, leaves room for attackers: Van Aert seizes the opportunity and finds himself ahead, along with Nys, Romele, Leknessund, and DeBruyne .

In the finale, Nys and then Leknessund tried, but Van Aert always closed in . The outcome of the sprint was predictable, with the Belgian rider from Visma Lease a Bike confirming his excellent form also ahead of the World Championships in Canada.

Covi also did well, managing to keep pace with the group of his closest pursuers and finishing sixth ahead of Tronchon and Mulubrhan, while Kung and Oliveira rounded out the top ten.

A quiet day for the men in the general classification: nothing changes, with Mas finishing the second week in the red jersey ahead of Gall (at 2'06") and Roglic (at 2'10").
