Now it's official: Tadej Pogacar will miss the Vuelta di Spagna, starting from Utrecht on August 19th. The Slovenian, second in the last Tour de France, had planned to compete in the Iberian race at the beginning of the season, but after a meeting with UAE Emirates, a change was decided that, certainly, will not please the Spanish organizers.

Pogacar will be at the start of the San Sebastian Classic , Saturday 30 July and then, after a month's stop, here he is at the Bretagne Classic , at the Canadian races in Quebec and Montreal (both World Tour), on the roads of the World Championship in Australia and the Giro di Lombardy where he will defend the title won in 2021.

The two-time winner of the Tour will also be at the start of the Giro dell'Emilia (1 October) and Tre Valli Varesine (4 October).

Difficult decision, therefore, for the fantamanagers who bought it: now is the time to sell it to make the Vuelta team or keep it in view of the autumn races?
