The conditions of the Slovenian 5 days after the departure from Bilbao

After the bad fall on April 23rd in Liège, Pogacar returned to racing in grand style: the Slovenian managed a double win in the national championships, dominating the time trial and preceding Mezgec in the road race. The opponents were certainly not of the level of those who will appear at the starting line of the Grande Boucle, but for the UAE Emirates Team rider the signs were certainly positive after almost two months of absence from the races.

Today the last medical checks will be carried out before the Tour with x-rays of the fractured scaphoid. Pogacar feels "not 100% yet, but fit enough"; the main concerns derive from the possible discomfort that could arise during the three weeks of racing: "I still feel a little pain in my wrist when I take blows on the bike, I hope it has healed completely or it will be a very difficult July for me".

We obviously hope that Pogacar can be in top condition so as to be able to give new emotions to all of us enthusiasts.

Remember to line up your squad in the league by Saturday morning to try and win a shirt autographed by the Slovenian champion!
