Vingegaard in the yellow jersey, but loses ground from the Slovenian

Tadej Pogacar wins the sixth stage of the Tour de France from Tarbes to Cauterets-Cambasque of 144.9km. The Slovenian precedes his rival Vingegaard by 23” with a spectacular action on the final climb.

Duel announced between the two phenomena, with the Dane attacking on the Tourmalet and splitting the race, causing difficulty for the yellow jersey Hindley who loses ground from the first two. Pogacar keeps pace with Vingegaard on the Tourmalet and on the last climb, after the pace set by Van Aert (again attacking today), tries to stretch again; Pogacar resists the first stretch 4 km from the finish.

Then 2.7 km from the finish Pogacar sprints, with Vingegaard losing a few meters from the Slovenian. The leader of Team UAE increases his advantage and arrives alone at the finish line, with Vingegaard who defends himself and goes into the yellow jersey.

Jay Hindley loses ground from the two favourites, but doesn't collapse and arrives about 2' late.
