Unpublished departure from Pavia; final all confirmed

The route of the Milan-Sanremo 2024 has been made official, the first monument classic of the season scheduled for Saturday 16 March.

The big change concerns the starting location, moved again, after the race started from Abbiategrasso in 2023; this season we will move further away from the city of Milan as the start of the spring classic will be in Pavia .

The mileage is reduced by 6 km compared to the previous edition, going from 294 to 288 km . It will still remain the longest race of the season.

The finale, which in recent seasons has provided incredible emotions, remains totally unchanged: after the Passo del Turchino, crossed approximately halfway through the race, the runners will head towards the Ligurian Riviera to face in sequence the usual Capi Melo-Cervo-Berta, the Cipressa and the Poggio with the subsequent descent towards the arrival of via Roma .
