Marlen Reusser is the new world time trial champion, silver medals for Van der Breggen , bronze for Vollering .

The Swiss won the 31.2 km Kigali race with a time of 43'09". Reusser destroyed the competition from the first split time, consistently leading the two subsequent time checks, beating Van der Breggen by 51" and Vollering by 1'04".

Just outside the top ten was the best Italian Monica Trinca Colonel.
