Simon Yates wins fifth and final stage of Tour Down Under , 112.5km from Unley to Mont Lofty .

The Briton of Team Jayco AlUla precedes the Australian Jay Vine , who confirms his leadership of the general standings and wins the race. Third place in the stage for the other home rider, Ben O'Connor ( AG2R Citroen ), who immediately arrives ahead of an excellent Antonio Tiberi ( Trek Segafredo ) and the Norwegian Sven Erik Bystrom ( Intermarché Circus Wanty ).

In the general standings, Vine is placed ahead of Simon Yates and the Spaniard of Team Bahrain Victorious , Pello Bilbao (7th in the last stage).

The first of the Italians is Tiberi , who finishes with a good eighth place.
