No Pogacar-Evenepoel duel at the UAE Tour. According to what is reported by Gazzetta.it, in fact, the Slovenian rider will not be at the start of the race he has won in the last two editions, scheduled from 20 to 26 February next. The news was later confirmed by the team.

Tadej Pogacar will race the Jaen Paraiso Interior, Spain on February 13, and then the Vuelta a Andalucia from February 15-19. The captain of the Emirati team at the UAE Tour will be Adam Yates .

"I'm excited for these races, to find a number and stay with the team - said Pogacar - I watched the first races of the last few weeks on TV and enjoyed it, but I also wanted to be a bit present in the action.

The preparation was good. I had a bit of gastroenteritis in January which wasn't very pleasant, but luckily I've gotten over it and feel fine.
