Juan Ayuso won the first stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico, a 10km individual time trial starting and finishing in Lido di Camaiore, Tuscany.

The Spaniard from UAE Emirates finished with a time of 11'24" ahead of Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers) by just one second.

Jonathan Milan excellent third, 12 seconds behind the winner. Antonio Tiberi also did well, seventh, while Jonas Vingegaard finished in ninth place with a delay of 22". Ayuso is the first leader of the race of the two seas.
