The Belgian is the first yellow jersey of the race

Lotte Kopecky won the first stage of the women's Tour de France, with start and finish in Clermont Ferrand of 123.8 km.

The SD Worx athlete, who wears the first yellow jersey of this edition, detached her opponents on the only Gpm of the day about 9 km from the finish, the Cote de Durtol, managing to maintain a discrete lead until the finish line.

Behind the Belgian champion, who won the Tour of Flanders this year, teammate Lorena Wiebes and DSM's Charlotte Kool finished 41 seconds behind. Tenth, in the bunch sprint, Elisa Longo Borghini.
