Pogacar collapses, Vingegaard more and more in yellow
Felix Gall won the seventeenth stage of the Tour de France, from Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc to Courchevel of 165.7km, with four mountain grands prix including the highest peak of the race, the Col de la Loze (at 2,304 meters), located 6 km from the finish line.
The news of the day is the crisis of Tadej Pogacar.
Via a large escape with Giulio Ciccone hunting for points for the polka dot shirt. Inside also Simon Yates , Pello Bilbao and David Gaudu. On the final climb Pogacar collapsed, who had fallen in the initial stages of the stage, while Jonas Vingegaard 's show set off, breaking away from everyone but not catching up on Gall and Simon Yates, respectively first and second on arrival. The Dane finishes fourth, at 1'52", behind Bilbao. Adam Yates arrives at almost 4', Carlos Rodriguez bad too. Pogacar at over 7'30".
The 2023 Tour is practically closed.
