Pogacar gains another eight seconds on Vingegaard

Michael Woods won stage 9 of the Tour de France, from Saint-Léonard de Noblay to the 182km Puy de Dome. This time the escape reaches the finish line: thanks to the Canadian rider of Israel Premier Tech who recovers Matteo Jorgenson 500 meters from the finish, detaches him and wins at the end of the demanding 13 km climb. Second Pierre Latour, third Matej Mohoric, fourth the American from Movistar, who collapsed right in the final. All were protagonists of the break of the day.

Tadej Pogacar arrived after eight minutes and attacked 1.5 km from the Puy de Dome: Jonas Vingegaard struggled to respond and lost 8" from the Slovenian. Tomorrow is the first day of rest.
