Tadej Pogacar wins the second stage of the Tour de Romandie, from Rue to Vucherens (173.1 km).

There are 4 riders who break away: Soderqvist , Conca , Thalmann and Renard-Haquin .
The group, led by Ineos, keeps the leaders under control.

On the final climb, Red Bull takes control, but no one attacks. The final 3 km of the flat stretch are thus reached with a group of 40 riders, with Pogacar holding the situation in check.

In the final sprint, Godon , who had managed to hold off, started in the middle of the road, but Pogacar overtook him in the final metres and beat the Frenchman and Fisher-Black .

Everything remains unchanged in the general classification, with the exception of Roglic who breaks away and gains more than 2'.
