Andreas Leknessund (Team DSM) won the second stage of the Tour of Switzerland, the 198km Küsnacht-Aesch. The young Norwegian, in his third career success among professionals, only reached the finish line after breaking away from his teammates on the last climb of the day 20 km from the end.

Behind him, with a delay of about thirty seconds, Alberto Bettiol arrived who regulated the group. The EF rider crossed the line cheering, but his sprint was worth only for a second place. Stephen Williams maintains the leadership of the general classification.
