Andreas Leknessund (Team Dsm) ha vinto la seconda tappa del Giro di Svizzera, la Küsnacht-Aesch di 198 km. Il giovane norvegese, al terzo successo in carriera tra i professionisti, è giunto solo sul traguardo dopo aver staccato i suoi compagni di fuga sull'ultima ascesa di giornata a 20 km dal termine.

Alle sue spalle, con un ritardo di circa trenta secondi, è arrivato Alberto Bettiol che ha regolato il gruppo. Il corridore della Ef ha tagliato il traguardo esultando, ma il suo sprint è valso solo per un secondo posto. Stephen Williams mantiene la leadership della classifica generale.
