Simon Carr (Ef Education-EasyPost) won the 144.5 km fifth and final stage of the Tour of the Alps, from Cavalese to Brunico, beating teammate Georg Steinhauser and Matteo Fabbro of the Bora team by over a minute.

Tao Geoghegan Hart (Ineos Grenadier) won the general classification of the former Giro del Trentino ahead of Hugh Carthy (Ef) and Jack Haig (Bahrain Victorious). Fifth Lorenzo Fortunato (Eolo Kometa).

It should be noted that Alexandr Vlasov did not leave this morning: the Bora - hansgrohe rider has in fact flown to Belgium where he will compete in the Liège-Bastogne-Liege on Sunday.
