Wout Van Aert has started 2025 well and is looking for redemption after a dull and unlucky season.

The Belgian rider, fresh from two cyclo-cross successes on the courses of Gullegem (Superprestige) and Dendermonde (World Cup) made it clear   to be in a physical condition beyond his own expectations , after the long rehabilitation process following the racing accident he suffered at the Vuelta a España 2024.  

According to Het Laatste Nieuws , Van Aert has decided to participate in both the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia .

The Belgian was supposed to make his Giro debut in 2024, but had to withdraw after a bad fall at Dwars door Vlaanderen .  

After the official announcement of Primoz Roglic , another top cycling rider could be at the start of the Giro.

Van Aert can go after stage victories, both in sprints and intermediate stages, but he could also help the captain of Visma Lease a Bike in view of the general classification. There are no definitive confirmations here yet, but. Jonas Vingegaard could be the other world star at the start of the Giro 2025.
