Visma | Lease a Bike has revealed its roster for the 2026 Vuelta a España. The Dutch team has revealed its roster for the Spanish Grand Tour, with a social media post featuring its riders depicted on playing cards.
Jonas Vingegaard will not be there, having ended his season with a crash at the 2026 Tour de France, and the “Hornets” will entrust their general classification ambitions to Ben Tulett.
So, let's give way to the young riders, because the other overall leader will be Jørgen Nørdhagen, making his debut in a three-week race. The Norwegian has shown good performance in short stage races and is now expected to face the test in a Grand Tour.
The two young leaders (combined ages 46) will be able to count on the support of two experienced riders: Sepp Kuss and Steven Kruijswijk. The American won the Vuelta a España three years ago and is competing in his third Grand Tour of the season, while the Dutchman is tackling his final three-week stage race of his career (he has announced his retirement at the end of 2026). In addition to them, Frenchman Bruno Armirail will be able to lend a hand, especially on the flat.
But Visma | Lease a Bike will be chasing stages at this Vuelta with Wout Van Aert , who was forced to skip the Tour de France and has prepared well for the season finale. Alongside him, Christophe Laporte can also shine on undulating courses and join the fray in some sprints, especially when the more pure sprinters have dropped behind.
In the sprints, the leading man will be young Matthew Brennan , making his debut in a three-week race and expected to perform well on a major stage.
