Once in Catalunya it mostly means climbs. There are many planned for the 2024 edition of the race which will start on Monday 18 March and end on Sunday 24. Apart from a stage suitable for the few sprinters in the race, the menu invites climbers to do their best.

From the high altitude arrival in Vallter, in the second stage, to the Pyrenean stage the following day in Port Ainé up to the last two days with the finish line in Queralt, also uphill, and the closing in Barcelona with the usual Montjuic circuit.

The number one favorite at the start is Tadej Pogacar , who has decided to race Catalunya supported by a quality team: at UAE Emirates there will also be Joao Almeida, Pavel Sivakov and Jay Vine. For a good placement in the general classification, pay attention to Egan Bernal and Geraint Thomas (in the photo) for Ineos Grenadiers, then there are Aleksandr Vlasov of Bora, Enric Mas and Nairo Quintana for Movistar, Cian Uijtdebroeks and Sepp Kuss of Visma, Lenny Martinez of Groupama, Mikel Landa of Soudal and Simon Yates of Jayco AlUla.

Sergio Higuita, Einer Rubio, Guillaume Martin, Cristian Rodriguez, Lorenzo Fortunato, Wout Poels, Esteban Chaves, Hugh Carthy, Carlos Verona, Ilan Van Wilder and Maxim Van Gils will aim for us at the stages.

Remember to line up your team and, above all, look at the calendar because the De Panne, the E3 and the Ghent-Wevelgem also take place during the week. Objective: everyone can save themselves!
